The length of time to perform a commercial air test depends on several factors.
The size and complexity of the building, access, time and preparation.
Typically, a straight forward test will take between 2 and 4 hours. This depends on the test engineer being able to arrive at the site, set up the test equipment and test, without interruptions. If the site is not ready to test or if the building has to be emptied of contractors, this will extend the timeframe of the air test.
The pre-test preparation is crucial to the test. i.e. is the power connected, temporary sealing required for the air test to be completed, water in all sanitary accommodation traps and the final finish.
Should a problem arise unclear and take longer to find the leakage, this will be a drain on the time allocated to test. Access to the building is the property occupied, what are the working times of the site. This will also impact the length of time to conclude the test.
