Dry Rot Remediation and Air Pressure Testing in Ipswich Residences

One of our biggest clients had been instructed to work with a well-known house builder who had a previous site requiring some attention for remedial works.

The properties in question were unfortunately suffering from dry rot in the roof rafters and thus causing damage to the overall property, leading to heat loss, air leakage, and in turn costing the occupants a fortune on their energy bills, not to mention the health risks.

The first point of action was to inspect the properties and determine the best possible ways to support the client through the works by offering the most beneficial services. It was established that Smoke Diagnostic Testing was the best option alongside an Air Pressure Test so that we could see exactly where the rot had damaged the internal build and the areas of air leakage.

Once the occupants had been organised with alternative living spaces, the client was able to get started on these remedial works, and so our engineer got to work! Taking time to work with the site manager on each plot one at a time, the smoke machine was a great visual aid to identifying how much air was leaking through the roof, and the engineer even produced photographic reports for each plot to use as guidance after the testing was complete.

The site manager and relevant subcontractors were extremely impressed with the level of service from the business, from the client meeting onsite with myself as their Relationship Manager to the engineer’s work onsite. Well, it’s just another day in the office for us!

Great work from the engineer here, another example of how ATSPACE Ltd works to be the UK’s leading compliance company, showing the rest just how it’s done – great work A Team!
