A smoke shaft test is there to protect you! In the event of a fire, a smoke vent system will remove the smoke from the building. A smoke shaft riser is a critical structure. The test itself is carried out to ensure that the system works correctly and effectively. You need to ensure there are no leaks, so the system can draw up the smoke successfully. The test is simple, but if leaks are found, you will need an experienced engineer to diagnose the air paths. Experience isn’t something we at ATSPACE are short of. With over 12 years in the field, we know exactly how to undertake such tests.
