The SBEM Calculation is used to calculate the energy performance for commercial premises, including: offices, warehouses, retail outlets, hotels and pubs, care homes, community buildings.
The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) provides an estimate of the likely energy consumption and ultimately the carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions for the property, including consideration of:

• Heat loss through the building fabric

• Efficiency of heating and ventilation systems

• Types of lighting which is installed

• Planned activity for building use
The EPC shows an A to G energy performance rating for the building and is required for all buildings to be rented or sold.
