Uncomplicated Compliance
Commercial Air Testing is a recognised method of measuring the extent to which air is lost through the leaks in the building’s fabric. You’re essentially making sure there are no air gaps where leakage could occur.
If you have a commercial build, or a non-domestic build, which it can also be referred to, you will need to comply with the details set out in the regulations. The test for commercial builds is slightly different, but ultimately, we are examining the loss of air from your build.
If you fail to comply with your Air Test, you could actually see up to 40% heat loss. This can have a huge negative impact on your build, and your bills. Air Tightness is essential and needs to be considered at the design stage of your build! With 14 years in business and over 80 years combined engineer experience, we are the ultimate place to gain advice for our EXSTENSIVE knowledge bank for commercial air testing. Commercial Air Testing is designed with commercial builds in mind. Our Air Test Engineers can advise you through the design to diagnostic works and the formal practical completion of the air test.

Commercial Air Testing - Questions Answered
Why is Building Air Tightness Important?
When we talk about airtightness, we are trying to stop the uncontrolled airflow. Uncontrolled airflow is essentially an uncontrolled measurement of air, essentially holes in the fabric, holes sometimes you can't see.
How is an Air Pressure Test Performed?
The basics - A Blower fan will be installed to an opening (external) and this is then used to depressurise the building.
Why Do You Need an Air Pressure Test?
You need an Air Pressure Test to meet Part L of the building regulations requirement. Part L stands for conservation fuel and power. The better your result, the more energy efficient your build will be.
